Minecraft’s philosophy revolves around remaining platform agnostic, and perpetually improving with endless updates and patches. On Wednesday, Mojang Studios encompassed both of these mantras by releasing the 1.18.12 hotfix update to all platforms Minecraft: Bedrock Edition is available on. The most recent public Minecraft release includes a handful of fixes that build on top of an earlier Minecraft build.
Minecraft: Bedrock Edition 1.18.10 released last week with well over 100 fixes and improvements, a colossal update that built on top of the Caves and Cliffs Update. However, the release also inadvertently introduced some brand-new issues, which Mojang Studios has been working tirelessly to resolve. Today’s 1.18.12 hotfix deals with many of these freshly introduced problems.
Minecraft: Bedrock Edition 1.18.12 is now rolling out to all Minecraft platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, PC, mobile devices, and Xbox Game Pass. In case you missed it, Mojang Studios is intending to phase out the Minecraft: Bedrock Edition beta program in favor of Minecraft Preview, which is available to test on several platforms already.
Minecraft is one of the best Xbox games of all time, a view that has been backed up by a community of hundreds of millions of players and a name known all over the world. The next major content update for Minecraft is The Wild Update, which arrives later in 2022 with new biomes, mobs, and quality-of-life improvements.
