'GTA 5' Ultra-Realistic Graphics Overhaul Is Gorgeous - GAMINGbible

The internet is all very excited about Grand Theft Auto at the minute, and I’m sure I don’t need to tell you why. Remasters for the same eight year old game in the series, of course! There’s definitely nothing else more pressing that fans are significantly more interested in.

Look, it’s not news that over the years, we’ve been hit with an onslaught of GTA V ports and re-releases. And that’s not set to stop anytime soon, either - GTA V Expanded and Enhanced edition (the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S ports) are on their way next month. So, that said, I’d understand if a fan-made graphics overhaul of GTA V doesn’t sound like the most exciting thing in the world, but stick with me here, because it’s genuinely amazing, and better than anything Rockstar themselves have been offering.

Before we go on, be sure to check out some of our favourite GTA V wins and fails below.

In a video posted on YouTube, content creator ZED - GTA V Modding Tutorials shared a trailer for V-Reloaded, a visual overhaul mod for the game, which is currently in early access. According to the modder, this remaster includes 16K water visuals (you can tell, too, just look at it), realistic colour saturation and shadows, adaptive exposure, improved time cycles, and more.

Fans in the YouTube comments have been sharing their support for the work: “Wow, amazing. It looks really good already, can't wait to see future work. I wish I knew [how to do] this kind of stuff lol[,] I would love to do something like that someday,” wrote ArcticSquash. “This looks like a whole new game, bud. Absolutely amazing work,” commented VinylDash 23.

If you’re interested in trying this out for yourself, the good news is you can - you can buy the mod over on the creator’s Patreon page. It probably goes without saying, but you’re going to need a pretty good PC in order to run this properly - it’s going to take some juice.

One thing is for sure, V-Reloaded looks significantly better than Expanded and Enhanced, which fans have been criticising basically ever since we first saw it, for looking the exact same as the Xbox One and PS4 ports of the game. Unless you really want a slightly lacklustre version of GTA V on your new-gen console for some reason, you might genuinely be better off playing this. Sorry, Rockstar.
